That’s one of the great opportunities the internet gives us.
You don’t necessarily have to trade an hour of your time for every dollar you earn.
You can create assets.
A book.
A video.
A course.
A checklist.
A blog post.
A template.
An email sequence.
A digital product.
A resource page.
Once created, these things can continue providing value long after the initial work is finished.
That’s the basic idea behind:

For much of our working lives, we’re trained to think in terms of time.
You work an hour.
You get paid for an hour.
You work another hour.
You get paid for another hour.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with trading time for money. It’s how most of us have made a living.
But when you enter your Second Act, you may start asking a different question:
“Can I create something that works beyond the hours I’m sitting at my desk?”

Think about a Kindle book.
You might spend weeks researching, writing, editing and publishing it.
That’s active work.

Suppose you know how to solve one particular problem.
You could turn that knowledge into a book.
