Think about your own buying habits. When was the last time you clicked a random link from a stranger and spent your money? Probably never. But if a friend, mentor, or someone you respect recommended something—you’d seriously consider it.

That’s the heart of the Trust Problem.

A lot of affiliate marketers fall into the trap of “spray and pray.” They blast out links in emails, social media posts, and blogs, hoping that sheer volume will bring in sales. But without trust, those links just look like noise.

So how do you build trust with your audience?

Consistency: Show up regularly. Blogs, emails, social posts—it takes time for people to recognize your voice.

Value First: Share tips, insights, and encouragement even when you’re not selling. When people learn from you, they’ll eventually buy from you.

Authenticity: Be real about your own journey. Share your wins and struggles. People connect with honesty more than polished hype.
