One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned in affiliate marketing is this:

👉 You can have the best product, the flashiest funnel, and the sharpest emails—but if the wrong people are seeing it, sales won’t come.

That’s what I call the Audience Problem.

Think of it this way: imagine you’re selling fishing poles at a baseball game. You could talk to thousands of people, but no one came there looking to buy fishing gear. The problem isn’t the product or even your pitch—it’s that you’re in the wrong crowd.

It’s the same online. You could send 65,000 emails, post on social media daily, and pour hours into blogs, but if your audience isn’t the right audience, your net comes back empty.

Here’s the good news: fixing the Audience Problem doesn’t mean starting from scratch. It just means learning how to fish in the right waters.

Some ways to do this:

  • Solo Ads (Udimi): Instead of blasting your offer to random traffic, you can send it to highly targeted lists in your niche.
  • My Lead Gen Secret: This is a way to consistently build a pool of leads who are already interested in online marketing.
  • Engage, Don’t Just Broadcast: If you’re on social platforms, don’t just drop links—start conversations with the right communities.

And here’s a truth I wish I had understood earlier: traffic isn’t the goal. Targeted traffic is. A list of 1,000 buyers in your niche will outperform a list of 65,000 freebie-seekers every time.

So if your nets are empty, it may not be your effort or your product—it could simply be your audience.
