If you’ve been working hard at affiliate marketing—sending thousands of emails, writing blog posts, sharing links on Facebook, X, Pinterest, Tumblr—yet seeing little or no sales, you’re not alone.
I’ve asked myself the same question more times than I’d like to admit: “Why am I not getting sales?”
And if you’ve ever felt like giving up, I get it. Many people start strong, put in the effort, and when sales don’t come, they quietly fade away. But what if your breakthrough isn’t about starting over—it’s about making one small adjustment?
That’s exactly what happened to the disciples in John 21. After a long night of fishing with empty nets, Jesus told them to throw their net on the right side of the boat. It was such a small change—but the result was massive. Their nets overflowed.
Here’s the wake-up call: sometimes affiliate marketers are doing almost everything right. The effort, the activity, the consistency—it’s all there. But if the net is on the wrong side of the boat, the fish just aren’t going to swim in.
This series is about learning how to shift our nets—our audience targeting, our product selection, our funnels, our follow-ups, even our mindset. Over the next 10 days, I’ll walk with you step by step through the most common reasons sales don’t come in, and how to fix them.
So if you’ve been frustrated, ready to quit, or just plain tired of trying—this is your wake-up call. You don’t need to give up. You don’t need to change lakes. You just need to shift your net to the right side of the boat.
Stay tuned—tomorrow we’ll look at the Audience Problem and why sometimes we’re talking to the wrong people altogether.
Always stay teachable and keep going. If you’re serious about building your own income stream, stick with this series—you won’t regret it.
