When our kids were young we took a weeklong road trip out of state and when I returned to work I was telling my coworkers how we stopped at some practice restaurants along the way. 

They asked what I meant and I told them that these were nice places where we were able to practice table manners with the kids and if it didn’t go well it didn’t matter because we would never be back anyway!!

Overtime their table manners improved and we were able to go out to places closer to home where we knew we would be returning.

The same concept can be applied to your affiliate marketing venture.  If you are new to the game and still learning how to perfect your skills then don’t be afraid to take a few risks. 

If your list is still small chances are only a few people will see them anyway so take some bold steps, try a few things, make a few mistakes, then move on. 

You will sharpen your skills and each time you post it will be better than the last.

As crazy as this sounds I have actually applied the concept to several areas of my life including my many attempts at getting a business going.  All the way back to mail order, not sure how many of you remember those days.

Over time I have learned more about what works and what doesn’t.  Still learning and still fine tuning, but I have made more progress this time around than anytime in the past.
