The power of minor adjustments.

Hello again.  Thank you for joining us as we continue onward in our exciting journey to build wealth and create a fulfilling lifestyle through the power of affiliate marketing.

The phrase “throw your net on the right side of the boat” comes from a passage in the Bible, specifically from the Gospel of John, chapter 21, verses 4-6. Here’s the context and the lesson that can be drawn from it:

Context

After Jesus’ resurrection, some of His disciples were fishing on the Sea of Galilee but had not caught anything. Jesus appeared on the shore, but the disciples did not recognize Him. He called out to them and said:

“Friends, haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered. He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish. (John 21:5-6, NIV)

I find it interesting that He didn’t tell them to go 50 miles down the shore, or to another lake. They were in the right spot, they just needed to make a minor adjustment.

Obedience to Guidance

Sometimes success requires listening to and following wise or divinely inspired guidance, even if it seems unconventional or counterintuitive.

Faith and Trust

The disciples had to trust Jesus’ instruction without understanding why it would make a difference. Faith can sometimes mean taking action based on trust rather than evidence.

Persistence and Adaptability

Despite previous failures, the disciples were willing to try something new. Persistence combined with adaptability can lead to success.

Perspective Shift

The simple act of changing their approach—casting the net on the other side—made all the difference. Sometimes a small change in perspective or strategy can yield significant results.

Divine Provision

The story highlights the idea of divine provision and abundance. It serves as a reminder that there can be unexpected sources of abundance when one follows spiritual guidance.
