I came across some more small starts for products we all know and love today. I subscribe to Woman’s World and in their 7/22/24 It Happened This Week column that noted:

In 1903, Ford sold its first car, the Model A, to a Chicago dentist

The ice cream cone was invented in 1904 and first sold at the St. Louis World’s Fair

In 1957, a patent application was filed for the design of the “flying toy”, an early version of the Frisbee. It was originally selling as the “Pluto Platter”

What is common about all of these? They got started! Every company that ever existed started with their first sale.
