Instagram and Pinterest are highly visual, making them ideal for eye-catching images and videos. The nature of your content should align with the platform’s strengths and audience expectations.

Hashtags can significantly expand the reach of your content to potential followers interested in specific topics. Researching and using relevant hashtags can put your content in front of users who may not have discovered it otherwise.

However, the key is relevance and moderation. Overloading a post with hashtags can seem spammy and may turn off potential followers. Select hashtags that are trending, specific to your niche, and have a trackable amount of engagement.

Interactive content such as polls, quizzes, and question stickers on Instagram Stories can also increase engagement. They serve the dual purpose of involving your audience and providing insights into their preferences and behaviors.

The more engaged users are with your content, the more likely they are to visit your website. Social media is a two-way street. Responding to comments, engaging in conversations, and being an active community member can build relationships and trust, which are essential for driving traffic.

People are more likely to visit the website of a brand with which they feel a personal connection. Social media for traffic is less about selling and more about engaging, being present, and providing value where your audience chooses to spend their time.
