Hello again, Thank you for joining us on our journey to prosperity with affiliate marketing.

8 track tapes, vinyl, cassette, cd, digital, streaming.  The market changes constantly and if we don’t keep up with the changes we will be left behind trying to sell our 8 track tapes.

While some may still appreciate the retro products there will never be enough business to sustain or grow your brand.

I found a book recently by Sydney Finkelstein called Why Smart Executives Fail and what we can learn from their mistakes.

He pointed out 6 topics that are worth reviewing because while we can learn from the affiliate marketers who have found success such as John Thornhill, Omar Martin, Jim Harmon, we can also learn from those who have not found it.  (Those names are not available, we just want to make sure we don’t make that list!)

Take time to study this list and try to learn from these mistakes so you don’t repeat them in your business.

There is a lesson there for all of us, no matter the business, large or small.  We are all subject to these same mistakes.

So I try to balance my studies, learn from those who have been successful on what to do, and learn from the failures of others on what not to do.  Check out the Bible, it is full of examples of people who failed but were redeemed (most of them)

It is so much easier to learn from someone else’s mistakes than to make the same mistake ourselves.

I keep this image handy to remind me of one of my biggest failures, listening to the wrong voices, missteps in initiated our business plan, yada, yada, yada! I took this picture in October 2018 the first day we pulled into the town where we were going to set the world on fire with our fantastic business idea, only to return home almost broke 6 months later. A very expensive lesson, but a lesson learned, and that’s what’s most important, the lesson is learned!
